Private Improv Class

If you've ever considered doing improv, have an interest in acting, or have a desire to gain confidence in public speaking and presenting, have we got a deal for you! Sign up for a 6 week introductory improv workshop, Monday Nights beginning Nov 13 from 7-9pm. Weekly workshops will focus on the basic skills of improv using fully immersive activities and stage-ready improv games. Participants will learn stage craft, prop comedy, object work, but mostly they will have a lot of fun. The classes will be PG rated, appropriate for agest 16-60. Classes will be led by Marty Matfess, a local businessman, Improv Performer, and former Director of Schrodingers Cat (If you've seen a show, the old guy onstage wearing bright shirts). The class is designed to appeal to both people whom might like to someday perform improv as well as to people who simply want to have some fun, make some friends, and gain the tools to be more confident in public. Classes like this can cost upwards of THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in cities like Chicago or LA (that is actually not a lie), but our class costs exactly $12.96 for all 6 nights. And includes a ticket to a late performance of our First Friday Show. Classes will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Augusta (I-20 and Washington rd). Classes will be limited to 15 participants.
